Beginner Guide
Learn rhythm-combat basics, controls, Beat Sync system, and survival tips for your first night as a resurrected rock ghost.
What Is Dead As Disco?
Dead As Disco is a rhythm-based Beat 'Em Up where combat moves sync to the beat. You play as Charlie Disco, the late drummer of legendary band Dead As Disco, resurrected for one night to confront the five Idol betrayers.
Controls
Beat Sync System
When enemies glow pink, pressing Beat Sync in time with the music deals massive damage and builds the Beat Gauge. The on-screen track shows the beat pattern — watch for the moving marker. Successful Beat Sync triggers interrupt enemy attacks and unlock special finishers.
Combo Building
Combos chain attacks. Light -> Light -> Heavy is the basic combo. On-beat hits deal +50% damage and add more hits to the counter. At 10+ hits, enemies enter stagger state — capitalize by continuing the combo.
Health & Revenge Mode
Your health bar is top-left. Taking damage fills the red Revenge Gauge. When full, Revenge Mode activates: +50% damage, all hits auto-sync to beat, visual effects intensify for 8 seconds.
Game Modes
- Story Mode — Main campaign, non-linear boss order
- Infinite Disco — Endless Song Challenges with global leaderboards
- Free Play — Customize enemy waves and use your own music via My Music
